Painting series started in 2015-2016.

Appeared from the desire to represent the moon, and impossibility to represent it “as it is” in the same time.

Every time I looked at her – the moon looked different, always hanging and the image was never perfect, so as I.

Such “glances” were 9, after which the series expanded.

My imperfection and changing states, but also hers,

I suppose, are what make the seria to expand to 9+ lOoks over the MoOn.
The paintings capture the 9 views of the moon,
transposing changing faces and the state of the viewer / painter. Some of the 9 moons still contain in itself a symbol – of the house, of the tree of life, Moon-fish, Moon-Jesus. As a music reference some of the canvases are corresponding with Blue Moon, Moonlight (Debussy), Moonstone (Schoenberg), Twenty Views on the Child-Jesus (Messiaen).
